| Central Contents The extent to which a student gains the same pedagogical benefit from a printout of your Web resources as from the resources themselves is the extent to which you have done nothing of pedagogical value by using the Web. - Alistair B. Fraser B i o P o r t ... M i c r o P o r t |

The majority of lectures will be presented in class. You may be quizzed on this material on subsequent days and you will be tested on it.

Some "lectures" will be responsible for in laboratory. You will not be tested on this material on lecture exams. You may be quizzed on it on subsequent days.

concluding ---
Some "lectures" will be presented at the end of the term, time allowing.
contents | central contents, courses | top of page
optional ---
Some "lectures" will not be presented in class but might nevertheless be useful for gaining an understanding of that material presented either in lecture or in laboratories. These "lectures" are presented here in part to satisfy further interests or to allow personal clarification of certain points. In other words, they do not present material which students are explicitly responsible for on examinations. However, for the sake of completeness I have supplied them, particularly as a source of foundation material to the ambitious student.

supplement ---
Some lectures will not be presented in class but represent extensions of the material presented which some students might consider interesting. However, students should in no way consider lectures so tagged as highly relevant to their understanding any material not so tagged.
contents | central contents, courses | top of page
delay ---
The giving of some lectures may be delayed until the end of the term. These lectures will be listed but not given in sequence listed. In other words, these lectures will be skipped with the hope of covering them at the end of the term them should time allow.
contents | central contents, courses | top of page
duplicate ---
Some lectures may be listed under more than one chapter.
contents | central contents, courses | top of page
temporary ---
Some lectures may be listed in certain locations only temporarily, and in many cases these lectures may also have duplicates found elsewhere. These temporary lectures generally represent unimplemented changes in the course, and the lecture actually tagged "temporary" will ultimately be removed from this location. However, despite these tags, students should consider themselves to be responsible for these lectures unless and until they have been removed.
