Consulting

As a part of its mission of outreach to the local community, OSU-Mansfield encourages faculty to use their expertise to consult with outside entities. All such activities must follow University guidelines as described at the website of the Office of Academic Affairs (http://oaa.osu.edu/index.php).

Faculty engaging in consulting activities must file the form found on the Office of Academic Affairs webpage (http://oaa.osu.edu/documents/Form01_000.pdf) and obtain the prior approval of the Dean/Director. To award such approval the Dean must be assured that:

• No more than one day out of five is spent on the proposed activities.
• The faculty member is performing all regular duties fully and satisfactorily.
• All potential conflict of interest issues are resolved.
