Getting OSU mail using YAHOO

go to
http://mail.yahoo.com

You will need to setup or already have a Yahoo mail account

click Options
click Check Other (POP) Mail
click Add Mail Server

Mail Account Information
Mail Account Server: pop.service.ohio-state.edu
Mail Account Username: name.##
(in place of name.## use your own username ie wenzel.4)
click OK

 

Getting OSU mail using Microsoft Outlook Express

In Outlook Express
click Tools
click Accounts
click Mail
click Add

click General
name Your Name
org The Ohio State University
email name.##@osu.edu
reply name.##@osu.edu

click Servers
My incoming mail server is a POP3
incoming mail (POP3) pop.service.ohio-state.edu
BIG CHANGE:
outgoing mail (SMTP) the smtp.service from your internet service provider
account name name.##
password
check remember if you do not want to enter you
password each time you check your mail. But... if you
check remember, anyone using your PC can also check
your mail, send, delete, etc.

Inbox
click Edit
click Preferences
click Identity
click Mail Servers
